A journal only helps if you can be honest in it. So MyPJ is built to keep your words with you.
You never sign up, so there's no profile of you on our side.
Your entries, photos and drawings are never sent to our servers. We don't run servers for your journal at all.
Summaries, photo captions and handwriting reading use Apple's on-device model. Your words aren't sent to an AI company.
When you add a photo, MyPJ removes its location and camera data.
Turn on Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode in Settings → Privacy. The app is also hidden in the app switcher.
None, ever.
Off by default. Keeps your devices in step through your own private iCloud, run by Apple. We can't see it.
Off by default. MyPJ reads steps and sleep to fill in your day, and never writes to Health.
Off by default. Shows what's coming up. Events you add go to your Calendar app.
Off by default. Shows what's due. Items you move go to your Reminders app.
Off by default. Created on your device. Memory previews stay off unless you turn them on.
Asked only when you take a photo or scan a page.
MyPJ sends anonymous events (for example, that an entry was saved) to Google's Firebase Analytics, so we can see which features help and fix problems. They never include what you write, your photos or your health data, and they aren't used for ads or tracking.
Handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Export your whole journal as a text file anytime from Settings, or share a single day. When you delete an entry, its photos are deleted too.
14 days to try at no cost, then $9.99 once. No subscription.
